The fat layer beneath the skin prevents the other organs from extreme temperature conditions. Fats also dissolve some essential nutrients like vitamins A, D, E, and K.

    High fat foods usually taste tempting that causes a person to eat them excessively, while storing unnecessary calories.

    Yes, Excess of everything is bad!

    Now, you may ask’ How do I know when to stop eating?

    Well, certain fats in the food slow digestion and give a stop signal to the brain. That is why fatty foods give a fuller feeling of satisfaction.

    Fat in itself is a vital component of the diet. The fear of the ‘fat’ word arises due to negligence on taking fats in excessive quantity. Eating too much fatty foods and weight gain are often associated with some other problems like’ anorexia and other disorders.

    One should consume fats that are good for the body, for example’ fats found in fish oil or olive oil, those good fats are often mentioned as unsaturated fats.

    You can avoid taking saturated fats, like’ bread, butter, hard margarine, cheese, whole milk, pasta, potatoes, rice, cereal, and fried foods. Remember to eat a small amount of good fats every day to maintain good health.

    Last but not the least, if you think that you are storing more fats than needed please stay away from the deadly weight loss products and quick miracle cures, just start burning the excess calories with regular physical activities and opt for natural weight management products.
